What size do I order? How do I find my size?
To ensure your LUXURY press on nails are created to fit YOU perfectly, purchase our “Mitts Sizing Kit”. Alternatively, you can refer to our How to measuring chart under our Shapes & Sizes tab.
What if my sizes are different from the pre-set sizes that are listed?
This is perfectly fine! Not everyone is the same! We want your nails to fit perfectly to ensure the “Salon Quality” look you deserve. Once you have discovered your sizes, please select “custom” in the size drop down arrow. Then, BE SURE TO LIST YOUR SIZES (thumb to pinky, left to right) in the “note to seller” portion prior to check out. Handmade sets are made to order, and it is not recommend you file to change the shape. Sizing varies by small increments, so you should be able to find your perfect fit.
NO ADDITIONAL FEE WILL BE ADDED FOR CUSTOM SIZED NAILS!
How long will my nails last?
Wear time depends on how well you prep your natural nails before application, your choice of adhesive, and your daily use. The secret to longer wear time is prepping your nails with the supplies included and avoiding long term exposure to water or manual labor. It is not unusual to pop gems, but take care when wearing your delicate art. Nails are not tools.
WITH GLUE, your nails can last anywhere up to 2 weeks or longer! Please do not continue to wear nails that are lifting because they can become a source for bacteria to breed. Remove any lifting nails, then clean, and dry before reapplying nails.
Are the nails reusable?
OH YOU BETTER BELIEVE IT! All handmade nails are reusable. Because your nails are made with salon quality products, they are extremely strong and durable.
WHEN USING GLUE, use the nail removal tool included with your purchase to gently remove your nails. Once removed, you will want to gently file away any excess glue from the underside so the next application will lay smoothly.
With proper care of your Pimped Out Mitts, you can wear and reuse them multiple times! Keep your LUXURY nails safe in the beautiful box and adhesive strip provided.
Can I order in a different color or size? Do you offer CUSTOM DESIGNS?
HELL YES and HELL YES! You think it, I’ll create it!
CUSTOM SIZE– No additional fee, just enter your nail sizes in the note to seller at time of purchase and I will make them to fit those Mitts perfectly!
A SIMPLE COLOR CHANGE can be requested by purchasing the desired set, and sending a note to seller for the desired color change request. No extra fee (premium colors/finishes not included)
CUSTOM DESIGN– If you don’t see a design you are interested in, or have a specific design idea not shown, contact me and we will design you the perfect Pimped Out Mitts. After the consult, I will give you the price quote, and you can then select your quoted price from the pull down menu.
How do I apply my nails?
Prep your nails with the items included in your Nail Prep Kit (included in orders with regular nail sets)
1: Clean and dry those Mitts
2: Push back those cuticles
3: Clip or file and shape your natural nails
4: Use the alcohol wipes included to dehydrate the nail beds
5: FIRST DRY FIT NAILS TO ENSURE PROPER FIT. Then, Glue the nails on one by one, pressing and holding for 15-30 seconds to ensure hold
6: Avoid water for the next hour
*TIP
Using a nail primer can be useful to dehydrate the nail bed prior to application.
**Please note, when applying (especially w/Bling Nails) be careful not to over bend the “C” curve by either flattening out the nail too much or by pinching the nail too tight at the side walls; this can cause the gel nail product or gems to pull away from the base. Bling, Chrome, Caviar/microbead and Foil nails are not ideal for rigorous wear and tear. It is not uncommon to lose a gem.
How do I remove my nails?
Be patient and gentle when removing your Mitts so you can protect your natural nails.
To remove nails, soak hands in warm water for about 10-15 mins. Using the nail removal tool that was included with purchase, slide the pointy flat side to slide around the edges of your nails, gently lifting the edges. Then with to the floss side of your tool, slowly slide the floss between your natural nail and your Mitts. NEVER PULL OR RIP your Mitts OFF. If you experience discomfort stop and try soaking your hands longer, before trying again.
Once your Mitts are removed, put them back on the included adhesive strip, and tuck them back into the Pimp My Mitts box to use later! Collect and expand your Mitt wardrobe!
How long until I receive my nails in the mail?
Processing for each item varies, however most hand made sets can take up to two weeks. Orders placed after 4 P.M. Pacific Standard Time will be received the following business day.
Your custom Mitts are hand made to order and processed in the order I receive them.
SHIPPING is determined by USPS shipping time tables.
What do I do if I lose a nail?
Lost a nail? No problem. You can always buy a replacement!. Just message me and I will remake your missing nail. Please remember that colors may change or fade over time, or I may be using a different batch than was used when creating your nail.
Many nail sets are also interchangeable and can be mixed with other sets for a unique look.
Shipping fees apply and replacements do not come with a prep kit.
I am not responsible if the wrong size is ordered. So, it is important to read shop policies, sizing information, and measure carefully before ordering. I also offer a “Mitts Sizing Kit” to help you can find the perfect fit.
What if I'd like to change the delivery address?
Merchant card services as well as PayPal protection will not honor or insure your order if I ship it to any address other than what is entered at the time of purchase.
Because of this, it is necessary to have you re-order (I will still honor your spot in line in my work queue) with the desired shipping address. Credit card services and other payment gateways have their own security measures to ensure, protect, and avoid fraud. For these reasons, as a seller, I’m not covered if I ship an order to a different address than it was purchased for.
Simply contact me, re-order a duplicate order with the address requested. If your bank approves it and if all information agrees, your original purchase will be canceled and I will pick up your new purchase and deliver it to the address stated on that purchase. While this seems tedious, they are necessary steps- and I must follow as outlined in my contract with the various merchant card services I use. Please read more in my shop policies.
